JENNY JOHNSON,
M.A., CCC-SLP
Jenny is a speech-language pathologist working at a rehabilitation center/nursing home. Jenny has a heart for service so she finds fulfillment working with the geriatric population. She is able to use this ministry within her profession to help bring hope to people in desperate situations. The first decade of Jenny's career was spent within the public school system. Jenny enjoyed serving severely disabled children and augmenting their ability to communicate to this world. Jenny has deep gratitude for the compassion in her heart that motivates her to serve those in need.
In December of 2006, Jenny was in a head-on collision on the freeway with a drunk driver. The physical injuries were severe and extensive. Many bones in her body were broken and it took several months to heal. Jenny also experienced a traumatic brain injury that made it difficult for her to verbally express herself. Jenny worked with a speech-language pathologist who assisted her in overcoming her speech impairments. This motivated Jenny to return to college and begin the path towards receiving a Master's Degree and begin this service work in therapy.
The greatest achievement Jenny has made up to this point is surrendering her entire life over to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She puts all her trust in Him. Because of this she does not fear.
There is a scripture from the Holy Bible that governs Jenny's life:
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
